Project Controls and Claims
Seeking qualified candidates with strong construction/scheduling backgrounds to perform Project Controls and Claims related functions on major construction programs including construction of complex highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects. General responsibilities will include reviewing and administering CPM schedules, Program Master Schedule maintenance, cost forecasting, and claims review and analysis on multiple civil construction contracts ranging in value from $5M to $200M.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering/Construction Management/technical degree preferred
  • 4+ years construction/engineering experience with 2+ years scheduling experience
  • Scheduling experience should include both preparation of CPM schedules and analysis of schedules prepared by others
  • Proficiency in all Windows-based versions of Primavera scheduling software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Access, etc.
  • Solid written and oral communications skills
  • Flexibility to work in both corporate office and/or field office environments
  • Team player with positive attitude

Typical responsibilities for successful candidates include technical review and analysis of construction contractor CPM schedule submissions for compliance with project specifications. Candidate must demonstrate ability to prepare well written technical reports in response to CPM schedule submissions, complete with supporting graphics and tabular data, and provide recommendations regarding acceptability. In addition, the position will require the development of conceptual baseline CPM schedules, fragnet reviews, Time Impact delay analyses, review of Time Extension Requests and analysis of claims. Position may also require candidate to act as a scheduling liaison between the Construction Manager and the Program General Engineering Consultant. In this role the successful candidate will manage multiple schedules and prepare draft responses to schedule and claims related matters on behalf of the Program Construction Manager.

The candidate may also be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the Program Master Schedule for a $1+ billion engineering and construction transportation program. Knowledge of P3, P5 and P6 is requisite to performing Master Schedule maintenance duties. In addition, routine maintenance includes organizing multiple projects with multiple updates into a single Master Schedule utilizing a pre-determined Enterprise Project Structure, standardized activity codes, and inter-project relationships. The candidate will assist the Project Controls Manager and the other team members in analyzing the impacts of schedule updates, revisions and Change Orders on Interim Project Milestones as well as Program Final Completion. The scheduling consultant may also assist with updating Program cash flow forecasts and performing Earned Value Analyses based upon the cost and resource loaded CPM schedules.

Construction Schedulers
Seeking professionals experienced in performing scheduling duties on major construction projects ranging in value from $5M to $200M. Qualified candidates will be fully versed in Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling theory and practice. Proficiency in the latest version of Primavera preferred. Knowledge of Suretrak, Contractor and/or Microsoft Project, beneficial.  Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Four or more years construction/engineering experience including 1-2 years of planning/scheduling experience preferred. Engineering/technical degree desired.

Construction Consultant
Seeking highly motivated construction professionals as staff consultants in its Construction Consulting practice. Individuals should posses 5-10 years of construction related experience. Specific knowledge of and experience in construction operations, scheduling and contracts required.

Civil Engineering Interns/Entry Level
Seeking civil engineering students and graduates interested in working on a wide variety of projects involving everything from developmental concept through construction. Work under supervision of senior engineers, surveyors and construction professionals on tasks including site layout, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control and of roadways and temporary traffic maintenance devices, construction management, inspection and scheduling.
